In this training, rescuers will learn to assess and select optimal short-haul sites for patient evacuation, incorporating prolonged field care protocols and capnography monitoring. Capnography supports proper ventilation and aids in detecting respiratory issues during transport, which is vital for patient stability in the field.
While field teams provide initial site recommendations, the final selection is made by the helicopter crew. This training highlights the integration of capnography data for informed decision-making, ensuring patient care and safety during the evacuation process.
